Good evening,

Trying to decide if my old trunk tracker has died or if I am missing a Freq. For the past few days I have not been able to find a control channel an I am in the pan handle of Sandy Springs.

I did check against the Freq list in the database an the radio is not missing any listed here.

Worked fine up to about a month ago. An Fulton's 800Mhz Smartnet II has absolutely nothing to do with the Narrow Banding issues of VHF & UHF. Rebanding (Something totally different) was completed a while ago and did not cause any problems with scanners as long as any new frequencies were loaded properly...

Not sure of what scanner you are using, but my PSR-700 is hearing the Fulton system quite well from N Gwinnett. Are you sure you're not missing a frequency, or have it programmed wrong? Most of the older TT's needed all frequencies programmed to function.

Fulton county did a control channel swap during rebanding, other than this the voice channels have remained the same, and they are NOT using a rebanded CC structure. The frequencies listed on RR are correct and should work in your old TT just fine. I am hearing it on an MTS2000 that has not been touched since that freq swap in 2010/2011 and it's humming right along (as best as a 22 year old radio system can)

just checked with a friend of mine in Piedmont Hospital area who has that exact same "relic" and it is working just fine on the FCTRS (I programmed it for him last year when he picked it up at a pawn shop), so yeah- if the ol' reset everything doesn't work, as they say...."it's dead Jim"
