To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.
If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

All the sudden today my MBox/save (red colored square 🟥 ) button stopped working. Which means I can scroll to new zones, but can save them. I've tried the 3-button reset to no avail. Any ideas?
Oops, I mean I CAN'T save when I select new zones. I've taken the battery out, did the 3-button reset, and reloaded the codeplug. The button still doesn't work.
Yeah still under warranty, so I'll be sending it in. Was hoping it was an electronic bug that could be corrected by a reset or codeplug overwrite or something, but looks like that's not the case. Bummed.
I will add that the speaker has been giving me a problem (sounds blown) ever since I started using the belt clip last week. I've had the pager a year and never any issue. However, I read in these forums that loosening the battery screws may fix the speaker issue (and it did). I'm wondering if the belt clip puts pressure on the case, thereby causing speaker issues but ALSO a physical connection issue with the button.
I find it suspect the speaker issue and the button issue happened right as I started using the belt clip after having no belt clip and no issues for a year of owning.
Are you speaking of the supplied belt clip? I believe there are two different sizes of the belt clips offered by the unication.I have the original belt clip however there is a lower profile clip to accommodate the pager fit better in the nylon case.
Sucks to have to send it back for a warranty and wait. I bought from East Coast Pagers and they seem legitimate. Or does it have to go to the manufacturer? At least you can have 'em go ahead and look at all the issues while it's in.
Although I have not had an issue, these small buttons and the joystick feel flimsy and occasionally non responsive. Due to the operations of these pagers, we use these buttons constantly to switch zones, save or hold/bloc. Occasional failure of the charging mechanism is another well documented issue.

You may need to flash the pager with an older firmware and reflash with current firmware fix it it will erase your current profile and messages so make sure you back those up first
