What frequency does DNR use in Floyd Co Iv looked in the database and the closest is Walker Co

To understand the DNR, you need to realize that one repeater covers more than one county. Plug in the frequency for Floyd county with the PL and just monitor the frequency. Just as the the DNR for Hall county covers Forsyth, and Gwinnett as well. Try some of the simplex state wide frequencies also. They also like to talk to each other via cellphone too.

My bad. I should have reread my answer before submitting:) Walker county DNR frequency. They do multiple counties from one repeater.

Ga DNR radios often have the County Sheriff channels in their radios for direct comms with that county's 911. Here in Troup County they would offer backup on traffic stops to deputies if S-O or GSP was not close by. Also if DNR was stopping a vehicle they might ask a deputy for a backup.

This is true, they use local dispatch centers sometimes or they use nextel or cell phone to contact a GSP comms center....or they just dont call in a lot of stuff.
