Are you familiar with the area or the equipment they're currently using?

Where in the article do you see it said they were replacing 70s equipment?? The article reads 35 year old radios. That would mean 1989. And the county did comply with narrow banding but it is the same infrastructure that was left in place. The primary problem is in 1989 we were using mobiles, now everyone is trying to work with portables and the coverage is just not there.

Sorry, no sale.
Can you tell me how it can be same infrastructure IF they narrowbanded in or near 2013(the deadline for narrowbanding)?
not buying it.
And yes, they said same thing here last year as the County was buying their new Harris system
In the paper, the County Judge threw out that '70's' radio system to which I called him out in person, since I sold the County ALL new everything in 2009.

Yup, they all do it.

Yes, the outdated backhauls, microwave links, the old antennas, the old power amplifiers are all still the same. You can change the transceivers and still use existng equipment. The frequencies didnt change, so aside from some new radios, the equipment to complete the system stayed intact.
