Recently I've noticed that GCSO channels 1 dispatch South has switched to North and channel 2 North has switched to South , I've also noticed different unit numbering , probably because of the new sheriff ? Seems they no longer have Pxx unit numbers and now use 4xx instead ? I'm still monitoring and will make changes as needed to the Galveston county Wiki page , anyone else notice this ?

Yea, I've noticed that for sure. Even before they stopped using the xPxx unit numbers they were also using the 4xx numbers. Now the 4xx units seem to be district patrol units, although there doesn't seem to be any system for district numbering like there used to be. The number before the P used to denote the shift, the number after the P denoted the district. For example, district 2 was San Leon (how I miss Sunny San Leon) and Bacliff. They also seem to go back and forth with the North and South channels. xCxx units are still constables, with the number before the C denoting the precinct.

It has to be because of the new sheriff, because GCSO now no longer has the green and white patrol cars that they had as long as I can remember and the patch has been changed to look like half of the other Galveston County agencies. There goes the neighborhood :(
