Question for Project25_MASTR, or anyone who may know the answer: What is the official name for the Bertram Tower Site (Site 072), Burnet County, and does anyone know where it is phycially located?

The official name is Bertram. Most radios will display the site alias as BU BERTRAM. It's a little north of Bertram. The ASR is 1274156.

I am attempting to tighten down my SDS GPS circles/rectangles for several of these sites; with the exception of 073-Kingsland, I believe I have the GPS coordinates for all of the Western Region GATRRS sites. I found a map from Oct 2011 that has the Kingsland/Lookout Mountain site more closely located to Park Road 4 W @ SH29 (see below); RR has it located at the site listed in the table (which appears it may be owned by 281 Communications, Kingsland).

One curious note from the map attached, it lists a reference to a "Shovel Mountain" site on the Burnet/Blanco county line. I presume this site is depreciated (or was a proposed site)?

Also, I have not seen any traffic from 069-Singleton bend for a while nor have I seen any adjacent sites listing it as a neighbor. The Sim7 consolidation may have taken this offline perhaps?

In any case, am sharing my work so as you may not have to re-invent the wheel later. Corrections are always welcome.

Shovel Mountain is an LCRA site if memory serves correctly. I think there is a PtP link from Round Mountain out there but it's not affiliated with GATRRS.

Lookout Mountain is owned by Llano County and the ASR is 1276516. The coordinates are off a few hundred feet, it's the larger of the two freestanders out there (there's 5 total out there but the Rohn 25 towers are the land owner's).

Marble Falls is called Mustang and is the water tower at the high school.

Singleton is what is called a co-located site meaning it actually has two sites at it, one of the CoA "IR" sites on 800 MHz and the Western Counties OBT site. Being owned by CoA...that site could be down for numerous reasons. Worth noting, Mountain Top is also co-located with LCRA (it's an LCRA owned tower).

As an update, today I was able to get a control channel on Singleton Bend (069) on 155.9025. Was not on it long enough to see if there was any traffic on it but it appears to be back up again for now.

My list shows “Bertram”. And it appears all MRG sites are up except ‘Mirando”.

I forgot, when I went through Freer to Encinal a month or so back, I didn’t detect Mirando. That is where I first heard it on the same stretch and it was fairly strong from there so yeah it’s been off for at least a month.
