GSP cars are programmed like this:
Receive 154.680, Transmit 154.800, no PL or DPL tone (e.g., CSQ)
Their car to car, which is rather neat, is 154.680 simplex.
Here's an example to help explain:
2 troopers are within sight of each other and communicate with 154.680 simplex.
The Post calls one of them a traffic accident assignment.
The troopers are listening to 154.680 and quickly flip to their "main channel" to respond to the Post dispatcher.
For the scanner listener, you will have to have separate channels for GSP Base (154.680) and GSP Cars (154.800).
Don't forget the statewide frequencies 154.935 (LEA Base) and 154.905 (LEA Cars). Works the same as GSP's "main channel." Again, no PL or DPL.
GSP channel 1 = duplex pair, as described by KFR-697
GSP channel 2 = GSP car-to-car
GSP channel 3 = Car to base, using the statewide duplex pair
GSP channel 4 = Car to car, statewide (154.905 simplex)
