Since the HP-1 works on GeoTags I have a question about submissions. I check the Wiki and didn’t find an answer to my question. I live in Santa Rosa County Florida and I know that the county has been tag already with a basic LAT and LONG for the center of the county. Does Radio Reference need users to supply more detailed information as far as LAT and LONG is concerned to make things more accurate?
Example, my county has three fire dispatches, North, Central, and South. Each tower has a LAT and LONG with a radius (25 miles) according to the FCC site. Do we provide the information for each tower or just the main dispatch office which is located in Milton Florida (center of the county)? I live on the south end of the county and can barely pick up the north end dispatch due to distance (40 miles).
I’m just trying to get a better understanding. This way I can provide accurate information for the counties in my area and make the database more accurate. I noticed in Sentinel that there was no information for tags on the freq themselves, just the group it falls under.
Right now this is what RR has listed for my area.
Santa Rosa County Santa Rosa, County of 1
Santa Rosa County Santa Rosa County School District 2
Santa Rosa County Milton, City of 99
Santa Rosa County Gulf Breeze, City of 99
Santa Rosa County Severe Weather 99
Santa Rosa County Navarre, Town of 99
