Getting error message #126 on Win 96

I'm new here and trying to get my Radio Shack Pro 96 to work with Win 96.
I try to start Win96 and I get the error message #126. It's looking for an MSVCR71.dll to import.

When I look further into the file I have Win 96 stored into I can see an MSVCR8.dll saved.

What I'm trying to do is get the scanner communicating with Win 96 before I spend the money to get the databases.

Any thoughts?

Why not re-install Win96, probably that file is corrupted and a fresh overwrite would fix it.

I had to overwrite Win96. It had the needed dll in the zip file.
