SDS100/SDS200: Getting High-capacity Battery

I was an early adopter of the SDS100, (serial # 5xx) and mine came with the small battery.

Due to my involuntary vacation most likely, I lost the email from Uniden that was supposed to be sent out with information on getting the larger battery and matching cover, so I never got them. How do I get them now?

Jon you need to update your information at my.uniden and then email uniden support and explain to them they can see your battery was never sent by serial number and should send it to you.

I had the correct address in my account, but didn't have the "this is a valid shipping address" box checked. What email should I use to contact Uniden?

Yes. UnidenSupport contacted me, and all I had to do is go in and check the "this is a valid shipping address" box to trigger the automatic shipment of the battery. So it should be on the way now, and I'll post an update when it arrives.

I just wanted to toss out an additional option: in the past when I needed an old battery replaced, I went to a battery store that re-build battery packs. Often (especially when I had a really old pack that went dead) the salesman would tell me that via technological advancements made since the original build of me battery pack, higher capacity batteries had become available, and they gave me the option to go that route (I always said "yes"). If you have difficulty finding such a store in your area, one chain I've had good luck with is "Batteries Plus".
