giant bay area ltr systems

i picked up these very large and busy systems briefly , but not long enough to get all the channels . i hope that someone in the bay area can get the rest of the channels .

this system shares two frequencies with http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=466 , but i do not think it is it . the lineup above is correct from LTRdump .

I have been regularly searching for LTR systems in the bay for quite some time now, and I have never seen any SINGLE site as large as this. Are you sure you aren't getting these frequencies from several DIFFERENT sites?

ltrdump indicated that large channel mapping on each frequency along with groups overflowing onto the other frequencies , but the signal was much weaker than other bay area systems . i am 120 miles north of bay area , and i was aimed about 160 degrees .

When dealing with several big active systems it can be tough to figure out the channels. The Free channels are only those channels free at the moment. If it is active due to a group that has a home channel different than the one you are listening to the channel will not show up as active or free. I had two nearby 935 MHz regular LTR system that only had a difference of one channel (One was 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17, 19 and the other was 1,3,5,7,9,13,15,17,19.

I found the FCC DB useful in figuring out systems. One system could be:
WPPB610 E & J Gallo Winery Modesto 452.3375 461.6625 463.6375 464.4625 464.7875
although there seems to be more channels listed in the posted list. Sometimes a system can have two or more licenses at the same site.

I also programmed my scanner with the LTR system to see if it will track it. On the Uniden it is possible to set the scanner to hold on the frequency and have it display the talkgroup information.

Now I use the LTRTrunk program with two radios. I enter the frequencies in the Sys.txt file. I keep the "control channel" radio on one of the home channels and see if I hear the groups when the "voice channel" radio moves to the other channels. Be aware that with regular LTR LTRTrunk will create or use 0000sys.txt for Area 0 systems and 0001sys.txt for Area 1 systems. So like for most EDACS systems you need to use separate directories for each system or the files will get mixed up.

Passport and Multi-Net LTR are easier to figure out because they use LCN codes to denote frequencies and do not use repeater numbers.

i assumed that 1/2/3/4/5/6/8/10 system was in bay area due to size and activity , but it turns out to be in shasta county , valley industrial radio communications . (WPNS379)

it`s very weak here , and i can only hear it during periods of good reception .

i`ve also got a 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/9/10 system , which i think is somewhere near stockton ( maybe ) . i was only 320 miles off last time .
