I have the Gilbert PD with the TOPAZ Mesa Simulcast frequencies. I am getting keyups and the display says Gilbert PD, but no audio. I am in San Tan Valley and was told by other members on here I should be able to monitor them. I have a Discone antenna at about 35 ft. Just a side note, my PSR-600 is doing the same thing.

I think you might get better assistance in the Arizona forum. You can click on the red triangle in the top right corner of your post and ask the mods to move it to the Arizona forum. If you want.

Be sure you have programmed the Topaz system in your PSR-600 as P-25 Auto for the Type.

Perhaps it's one of the Gilbert PD's encrypted channels and you have the scanner set to mute the audio for encrypted channels.

You don't mention what make & model the other scanner is.

It is possible that you're having issues due to multipath interference, a common problem many of us have with the RWC and TOPAZ RWC simulcast systems.

You may have to try using a directional antenna, and experiment with where to aim it, in order to receive the best signal from just one of the simulcast transmitters, while nulling out the others.

Good luck.

I am using the RS Pro-96 and the GRE PSR-500 and have the same problems with both radios, thats why I think it may be a distance issue?
