hey guys, quick question.im trying to program go transit into my psr500,need to know what the lo and high channels are for the trunking tables.ive entered everything else.did a search, but couldnt find them.thx in advance.
i think the psr 500 is like the pro 106 so if you set the tsys as p25 auto the t tables for the metrolinx system will auto populate when the scanner decodes the control channel for you so you don't have to worry about it that is how i programed the MPSCS system which is the same system that metolinx is using
GO Transit is pretty much silent in Oshawa.. not sure but since they changed the control channel frequency the reception is spotty at best. This is really strange considering they have full all day service to Oshawa and beyond.. perhaps we need to do some searching, perhaps they have put up a new tower.
thx for the reply.i scanned for about a half hour this morning between 5 and 530,the control channel was being picked up,but no conversations.it is weird that the go train and buses are usually running at that time of the morning.must be a reason for this.
I sat on the Mitchell's Corner's site to see if I could pull anything in from Etobicoke and it was coming in 1 bar and I heard East Ops bus and Stouffville rail comms.
Also, had a looked over the database and the default settings for the site maps for Metrolinx and saw that Aurora was situated in Russia!
Adding a minus sign to the longitude fixed that up.
i tried the settings last night at work.couldnt pick up anything.i checked all control channels and barely received any signal at all.im thinking that my location at work(north whitby) has something to do with the lack of activity.you would think that a system like this would be stronger in order to cover the given area.
i brought my psr500 home(south oshawa) this morning and tried scanning again.this time it came in loud and clear.i guess location makes a big difference scanning this sysem.
