Anybody have a list of the VHF freqs that all FD's in the county are now using? They have done away with alphanumeric paging and have gone back to Minitor V's.

anybody with info please post.

While not much for VHF, here is a place to start:

Grand Isle County VT Fire Departments - Scan New England Wiki

From my own personal logs:

153.905 is/was used by St. Albans Central Dispatch with varying CTCSS/DCS tones, for initial dispatch for various area departments

155.820, 100.0Hz, St. Albans Central Dispatch heard calling an unknown station on 1/15/2011...FCC shows that could be St. Albans FD

I don't travel up that area much so I don't have much to offer you.

At this point, check out 154.190 and 155.820 MHz. 154.190 has been used for dispatch and operations for both Alburgh and Isle La Motte. I believe there is (or was) a plan to place more repeaters throughout the county on 154.190 for the lower three towns, but there has also been monitoring reports of Grand Isle County units talking to St. Albans Central Dispatch on 155.820 MHz. The county had also been trying to get a new dispatch / paging channel for the entire county but the license kept getting rejected by Canada, so that plan may have gone by the wayside.

I may try to make a fall trip up north to see what's going on.

I have heard that Alburgh Fire & Rescue has pretty much gone back to 154.190 VHF and gotten away from the 800 mhz., and I am also hearing that some County depts. have been heard on 155.820 as well back on 154.190 where we operated for years. I have been told by some very reliable sources that the whole county will be going back to VHF. Compared to the 800 system the vhf is a whole lot better system by far, the 800 was good to the point of being trunked and no bleed over from other stations.

I caught "central" calling "Grand Isle County fire" on both of those frequencies this past weekend! Thanks for the report.
