Personally, I think that 90 pixel height limit is far too big. 90 pixels is around 7 text lines tall (exceeding the 4-line signature size limit).

I agree. When I set it I made a rough guess. I've set it to 50x500.

50x500 is also easy to remember when designing a graphic.

Assuming you have already uploaded the image, your signature must contain the "[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]" tags to display the picture. You can type it in manually, or click the "Insert Signature Picture" link.

For example; My signature box contains the exact text in the code box below:

-Chris
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

There hasn't been a rule not permitting it yet as no one has really kickstarted the idea and taken it to an abusive level. I'm very picky about signatures as I do not want them being the showcase of a post; shutting sigs off is not always a valid option. I would permit them provided they are thin in height and not intrusive.

I agree that a max size (height width) should be established. I am just re-visiting this thread as I just recently have seen a few sig's but had thought that the case was closed so blew off the post.

Sig's are often used and WELL abused on gaming forums and like your preferences, they don't need to be the focus of the forum. But the ones I have seen have not been intrusive and so far, not abused.

Is there a possibility that you could add some words about sig's HERE? maybe give a few rules (No Porn, ect.) and the absolute DO NOT Exceed pixel sizes and all.

The size restriction is imposed by the forum itself. And I generally do not want to try to cover all possible angles without there needing a rule in place to cover it (porn is an obvious one). The majority of our rules were created because they were needed. My standard is to write rules because they're needed and not attempt to cover any future occurrence. It keeps things shorter.
