TAC TGs are assigned beginning with A-4 and the even number TACs are formally assigned by the TAC Channel Manager embedded in CAD at GM 911. The odd number TAC TGs are used if the I/C requires an additional TG at the incident for water supply, etc.

Fire Loc or local is simplex and Fire VR is a portable vehicular repeater mounted in a pelican case that extend coverage into a building.
Ok thanks. So its like a talk around. Radio to radio type. When the repeater wont get into buildings?
That is exactly what it's for. Fire VR receives conventional simplex and puts it out on the TRS via a mobile radio in the pelican case.
