Is Grimes, Brazos and Washington County Phase 2 or 1 or both.

Is Grimes, Brazos and Washington County Phase 2 or 1 or both.

I'm not in that area, but so far, the database indicates that all three are still Phase I. The system itself is capable of Phase 2, but still has a number of Phase 1 talkgroups in use.

I do remember seeing comments before, that in the not too distant future, users in the Houston metro area will be required to upgrade to Phase 2. No idea if that requirement will also apply to the other areas on the system.

Phase 1 they have no TDMA towers

Lots of agencies with XTS radios still. I haven’t seen any TDMA going through there.

As a local resident, I can confirm this. I have never heard any TDMA traffic around here.

I have noticed that Cedar Park tower has recently changed site designation. It was 1.96 now sporting a 2.2 with no other changes.
