I'm using an ICOM 5100a as a base. There is not a grounding screw on the 5100a. I want to bond the radio to my busbar with a copper braid strap as I've done with other equipment.

Can I use the 5100a radio antenna connection mount or a chassis screw to make that bonding? Are there better choices?

Thanks.

On Icom radios, the mobile bracket mounting screws usually go into the aluminum chassis. I'd ground to there and not mess with teh antenna connector.
That's how I have my IC-2730 and my GMRS mobile grounded in the shack.
