DSDPlus Groups show "L/O" in DSDPlus despite manually holding/overriding

Hi there, I'm trying to use FMP24+DSD+ FL with a single RTL-SDR v4 dongle for local p25 II trunking on Long Island. Based on the NOTES.TXT, it appears you can use a single RTL-SDR for trunking but I am not getting it to work properly. But I am only seeming to hear conversations from dispatch (source: EXTERNAL) and nothing else.

Also setting/changing priority in groups or manually holding (clicking Pri until it sets priority to 0, setting a TgtAlias to "holding", etc.) seems to have no effect on trying to listen to a specific group. Additionally most channels appear as "L/O" when they are actually set to 50 or some other priority in the .groups file.
  • FMP24-CC bat settings: "FMP24 -i2 -o20001 -P-2 -fxxx.xxxx
  • set to "Combined CC/VC Monitor" in DSD+
  • Are there settings in "call priorities" that I should be setting a certain way to ensure proper functionality?
  • Could this be an issue with rtl sdr v4? i noticed I had to set my device to 2 -- FMP24 reports "2" devices when there is in fact only one connected to the computer. I used the zadig instructions to apply a driver to bulk interface 0

Any suggestions on how to resolve my issue would be greatly appreciated! I've read through NOTES.TXT and FMP24

RTL-SDR Blog V4 Users Guide

This page serves to inform users about information relevant specifically to the RTL-SDR Blog V4. We encourage users to start with our quickstart guide in order to install the drivers and some common software first.

RTL-SDR Blog V4 Drivers

Because of required changes we made to the circuitry, new drivers are required for the RTL-SDR Blog V4. These drivers are backwards compatible with the RTL-SDR Blog V3 and older / other branded / generic RTL-SDR units as well.

Replacing the drivers is very simple as we'll describe below. Below we prefer to use our own RTL-SDR Blog fork of the drivers as we have added additional features and enhancements for our V3/v4 models.

If you do not update or replace the drivers, then the V4 will simply not function correctly. Either you will get no signals, or signals may appear at the wrong frequency, or appear corrupted in some way.

We are working with various software providers to support the V4 natively, but for now if your software doesn't support it natively please use the instructions below.

Not sure its a driver issue as he seems to be picking up an ISSI patch from somewhere.

This may look like what he is seeing and is a patch on a Long Island system.

Hi I am trying to connect to Nassau county on 851.1875. from south shore area.

I believe I added the correct drivers but rtlsdr was a mismatch so I switched back to what came with dsdplus

The NCPD has just about everything encrypted. The few patches (external) are coming from tg's on the Suffolk County system. What exactly are you trying to monitor?

Any thing listed in the mode column with a D is monitorable. Anything that's TE is not.

Ah I see. Thanks for clarifying! Sounds like everything is operating as intended due to the encryption. Apologies as it wasn't super clear to me in the way dsd displayed it

If all your hearing is those externals, then no. You should also be hearing the Sheriff talk groups, the security company (East Hills) tg and, well maybe not today but Great Neck water. Sometimes a little marshal traffic will be heard.
