Yep they're on the TRS. However the GSP dosen't run through Newark.

You'll need both Troop B and Troop C frequencies entered and Talkgroup 26928 for Bloomfield Barracks and Talkgroup 53296 for Holmdel Barracks. You should also pick up Bass River Barracks on Talkgroup 26960 off the Troop C frequencies.

Also the TGIDs in the above post.

These are the frequencies for the Tow Trucks and maintenence. State Police are on the TRS.

He said he wanted GSP, not NJSP.

oK .wHO PATROLS THE "GSP" i THOUGHT IT WAS THE TROOPERS?

There was a bit of confusion because your original question wasn't terribly specific. None of the above is wrong; to clarify:

The Turnpike Authority Parkway Division (formerly NJ Highway Authority) operates on 800 MHz conventional. Listen the three channels Joseph11 wrote for operations, maintenance, etc.

Police services are provided by New Jersey State Police, who operate on the state trunked 800 MHz system. Listen to the talkgroups Sybex7254 wrote.

GSP

Listen to the first two frequencies that Joseph listed. You'll hear the NJSP
Troopers on these also.

Also add these for troop e.I use these on a CONVENTIONAL 800mhz scanner that has NO trunking capaility and it works fine.Every trooper that has made a stop on my way to and from work I have heard on these two freqs over the past 12 months. Also monitored and witnessed a big bust one morning on these two freqs on the parkway.
867.6625mhz
868.1375mhz
Hope this helps

Prehaps they are conventional, I'll program them into my scanner and see what I hear.

EDIT: Wait, yes, they are part of the Central TRS.

Those two freq's are part of the 'preferred' listing at the site controller. When NJSP added new freq's a few years ago in the 866-868 range, they set the controllers up to assign NJTP & GSP traffic to those newer channels first. If the system is quite busy, you'll hear the toll roads show up in the 856-860 MHz range often, but if the upper freq's are available, they'll show up there first...

These aren't part of the Central TRS? Are you hearing these outside of Central's area?

Thanks.
As far a my concerns are for monitoring on the GSP these two freqs work fantastic for me from the Raritan Bridge south to Bricktownship in both directions.I hear every parkway trooper call on these two freqs without using trunking mode.Hope this helps.

I can't, i don't have a trunking scanner yet, i was thinking maybe i could hear them the conventional way like i'm doing with the Ocean County trunked system.
