Is it the decimal conversion?

It's an easy fix if it is, you're pretty vague.

Take the HEX given here on rr.com and convert it to decimal using window's calculator or whatever and the resultant will work.

Try 800043 for 02B.

Are you sure it isn't 800000 - 804094?

800400 only goes up to 190 HEX.

804094 will run you all the way out to FFE HEX.

Good luck.

GTX on Mecklenburg

My question is this:

Is Mecklenburg starting to allow this type of radio on the system, I know at last they would not even allow a MTX-8000 portable on the system.

They will not allow a Johnson radio on the system and it is been approved by Motorola for use on a smartnet/smartzone system.

I was just curious????

Yardbird - I don't think Mike's intention is to register the handheld and get authorization for using it on the air.

Mike - you want to comment ... or plead the 5th ?

My understanding is that the oldest handhelds the city radio shop is now authorizing for use on the system are Motorola MTS 2000 handhelds.

Also, any user wishing to put a radio on the system which is not supplied by the radio shop must pay both a programming fee, and an annual fee of $25.

Atleast that's what I was told by a volunteer with Matthews Rescue who was interested in purchasing and programming a handheld second-hand.

GTX on Mecklenburg

Jeff,

The oldest radio that is on the Mecklenburg system is the STX.

I know the Charlotte Fire Dept. has about 20 or so, used for special events and emergencies.

Thought you would like to know
