Hi all,
I'm looking at getting some gtx800 radios to use in a mmdvm repeater. I see they can do conventional non-trunked, but are they able to do just regular, plain old analog? Does that still work if its in talkaround? The goal is to have the mmdvm output P25 into the radio and it would just transmit it as analog. It seems most mmdvm boards have trouble outputting analog, which would allow the radio to output P25. The other thing that I'm trying to figure out is the accessory port pinout.
I see TX audio, RX audio, and PTT but I don't see any kind of RX indicator unless it's not something that would be obvious. Maybe GPIO or hook switch? Any thoughts?
Of course, if there is a different radio that can do 800mhz that you all think would be more suitable and accessible (cheap too!), feel free to suggest it.
Thanks,
E
