I live in Valrico, Florida and want to get my Ham Radio License, just in case I get a Ham. What's my first step and where do I get it? Which one should I get?

You really don't need a license to get a ham. You can buy them at any supermarket. However, you will need a license to transmit with a ham RADIO...

Look for a local club and attend meetings (live or online). You will meet all kinds of people, and most will be friendly and helpful. My experience has been that people who always have a lot to say often are not the ones who will be the best at really helping you.
