I just heard an announcement on Derry Fire for all Hampstead Fire personnel to bring their radios to a meeting on Wednesday at which time the radios would be reprogrammed with Hampstead's new frequencies. It also stated that the new frequency would go into use that day. Any idea what the new frequencies would be?

Thanks

I'm not sure if these are the "new" ones, but I pulled these from the FCC site last night.

154.13
154.16
154.19
154.28
458.60

With limited listening time, I got hits on 154.13, 154.16 and 154.28

It was posted on the New Hampshire Scanner email list as 151.070 DPL 125. I have not heard any activity on it yet but I'm a good distance away. Hampstead is licensed for 151.070 with a call sign of WNUB921

They have been quiet lately. I have heard them dispatch on .070 twice in a week. A couple things I have noticed. The signal itself is not as strong, probably because it is not from the top of Warner hill? The voice modulation level from Derry is much lower than it is on the .130 broadcasts, and when I have the CTSS/DPL in search mode Derry seldom broadcasts the code of any type. All Hampstead units repond with DPL125 but only once has Derry indicated a code with their broadcasts. I finally set it to search to see what happens over the next week or so.

Hampstead Fire

Derry Fire Transmits (Derry UHF Link Radio) 453.600 w/ DPL of 125 To Hampstead Tower then we re-Transmit on 151.070 w/ DPL 125 (Hampstead FD Primary) from our Tower to All Hampstead units. and in reverse back to Derry. Our signal is lower now. Looking into other options soon

Not sure if it matters, but it appears Derry does not consistantly transmit the Digital code on the .010. All Hampsteas units do when replying. It will matter to a scanner that is programmed to use the DPL to open squelch. I don't monitor the high freq

Everyone, thanks for the info. I just got a digital scanner so I can hear again, and Hampstead is moving things around versus the FCC licensed info.

It's interesting that the HFD units seem to receive the transmissions on the 070 but the scanner on DPL/CTSS search does not indicate a DPL code sent, but when HFD unit reponds the scanner shows the DPL correctly. Rock does somethign similar where they do not broadcast the subaudible during a toneout but do on a voice message. I get no indication when Derry is transmitting.

CTCSS not broadcast during QCII toneouts

Rock doesn't transmit a PL (136.5 @ 154.190) while "toning out" utilizing QCII two tone encoding as it causes a mixing of the PL tone and the QCII tone in certain combinations which results in intermittent operation of the receiving pagers.

We require all units transmitting to us to do so with a PL of 136.5, otherwise we would be constantly monitoring others on Seacoast Fire (154.190) from Downeast Maine all the way to Long Island. After the tones are transmitted from Rock all further transmissions to units in the field are done so while also embedding a PL of 136.5.

Hope this help explains it a little better.....

Thanks for the description. That makes sense, didn't know why but knew it happened. I knew Rock's was intentional. What I am saying is that when Derry transmits on the new Hampstead frequency either a tone or voice from what I can tell they do not TX the DPL code, but when all Hampstead units TX they do send the DPL codes consisantly with all transmissions. Derry has always sent their respective 114.8 on their channel with both tones and voice consistantly.

New Hampstead channel

I have heard in the last several snowstorms this .070 frequency being used by Plow truck operators, Possibly Hampstead public works?, Perhaps this is a shared channel to be used by several town agencies.
Haven't heard Hampstead fire on here yet.

Hampstead fire is now using 151.1825 as their fire frequency with a tone of 151.4Hz. Still dispatched by Derry.
