• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello guys,

I currently have a Harris XG-75 radio, and it works fine. However, the lip that holds the battery is broken. When I am on-duty, I use a rubber band to hold the battery in its place.

I looked everywhere (Google, e-bay) to see if I could find a defective XG-75, but with a good housing to replace mine, but to no avail. Do you guys know of any place where I could buy that radio housing?

Thank you,

I have a spare XG-75p scan model 700/800 that has conventional P25 but no trunking. I got a great deal and bought it for the speaker mic and charger, so if someone wanted to make a reasonable offer for the radio only, I would happily part with it. PM for pics, or to discuss further.

Hello Adam, I am interested in the plastic housing and screws only. If you took the speakers and mic, it is fine. I bought this radio for $75 on ebay. I have no idea what a reasonable price would be for those radio parts. Shoot me a PM and let's discuss.

I have a non-functioning XP75 and a functioning charger. I would be willing to part with both of them for $20 plus actual shipping. I also have a genuine Harris programming cable. It has never been used because the XP75 I bought it for was DOA. PM me if there is any interest in any of the items.
