Hi can anyone answer this question:
Was looking at HARTLINK on broadcastify calls, and looking at recently used tgs. For hartford pd, patrol north and south, along with special events 1 have been used, however none of there other tgs in the rr data base seemed to have been used, even when selecting "All time" on the bcfy calls platform for the feed.
Can anyone explain why this is?

ferther to this. It isn't just pd that this seems to be the casse with. According to the bcfy calls feed, schools, and other city service freqs haven't been used iether. Is this an issue with the feed, or are they derpecated?

Because the person feeding to Broadcastify does not include any other talkgroups. City of Hartford has many, many talkgroups that are not on a feed from Broadcastify. Totally unrelated to whether or not they are active on the city system.

That's correct. I provide the Hartlink calls node and Hartford Police, Fire & EMS feed which focuses on the public safety channels, within the BCFY terms of service eligible for broadcast. There are dozens of other still active channels on the city-wide system for pd, schools, public works, etc. Hartford is transitioning to a new P25 system which is in the process of being built and tested. I expect changes to which talkgroups are being uploaded/fed in the future from the new system. The Hartlink calls node will be decommissioned. If there are enough relevant unencrypted public safety channels, then someone (perhaps me) will create a new node for the new system...

Except that it's not against the Calls TOS to upload every active talkgroup to the node. In fact, it's strongly encouraged by Lindsay to do so. Access to certain service tags is (was) restricted to the node provider only, but that policy just changed the other day.

so you will be doing the live feed for the mew system?
Yes, if there are enough relevant unencrypted public safety channels, I will update the existing feed to be sourced from the new system. Hartford Fire Department already provides (thank you!) an official feed for HFD Dispatch and Incident1 - 5 so I have no plans to provide a Fire-only feed.

Hi thanks for all of the replies. And thanks to srsanford for providing the feed.
I was just a little confused as some of the pd tgs were broadcast, and some weren't. There are a lot of unknown tgs that are accessable though I think that's what through me.
However, as stated above, the policy has now changed as to what can and can't be broadcast / listened to, so if you did want to broadcast all of the system's tgs, that would be great. Especially as they are transitioning. It may give us a better idea of what is being used and what isn't.
Thanks

The policy change only applies to Calls, not to traditional feeds. It also only changes the fact that premium subscribers can now listen to service tags that were previously accessible only to the node provider. It doesn't mean that the node provider is now forced to upload every talkgroup to Calls; although encouraged, Lindsay has never decried that a node provider must upload all activity.

tl;dr If the node provider doesn't wish to upload certain talkgroups (for any number of reasons), that's their prerogative.

Yeah I know. I'm not saying they have to, but just that it would be useful and I would appreciate it if they did. Just makes more sense in my head to stream the hole system if you've got one up. You know what I mean?
But not at all forcing the provider to do this, just a suggestion

Some feeders are opposed to feeding sensitive TGs, even if in the clear, such as TAC or EMS to Hospital TGs, so while it makes more sense in your head they feel differently.
