having issues resetting scanner

hi all has anyone ever had any issues resetting the pro 652 scanner from radio shack. i’ve tried too reset it by doing the factory settings and it goes through but it doesn’t erase the scanner the freqs are still there.i’ve followed the the way too reset it too factory settings.i’ve had the freqs stored in the v scanner stored area for a while i erased them before i erase it but it won’t erase anything i’m calling scanner master monday.

Are you doing it correctly?

Turn the scanner off
Turn the scanner back on
Important.... Press the zero key while the Welcome/Owner screen is being displayed - (reset won't work if you press the zero key after the boot process moves on beyond the Welcome/Owner screen.
After you press the zero key, then press the 1 key.

is that the way you did it ?

There are 2 resets. Pressing 0 and then 1 at the welcome screen resets all global settings to factory defaults and erases the working memory. Pressing 0 and then 2 at the welcome screen resets all global settings to factory defaults but DOES NOT erase the working memory. Neither reset affects v-scanner folders.
