I was scanning the Total Radio 800 Site and caught two TPD officers on there talking about different calls. I could hear their city radio in the backround. One of them said they were going back over to A-Adam to broadcast the call they were talking about. The talk group I heard them on this site was...

10208

Enjoy...

Why would TPD need to use the Total Radio 800 Site for car to car. Is there not car to car talkgroups on the City of Tulsa system.

Are you sure it was TPD??????

TPD wouldn't need to use Total Radio. They want to use it. They can use it for unofficial chatter and probably thought nobody would ever find them. They don't realize that there are people like us who search them out. They can talk about whatever they want on their "private" radios and other officers, dispatchers, and especially supervisors can't hear them. It's kind of like some cops having CBs in their patrol cars.

Ferguson several TCSO reserve units (robert) that work as supervisors.

Robert for TPD is used by cadets in training.Since they have no academy
that far along I doubt if you are hearing them. They just got started weeks ago.

Not real good with Type I and Fleet maps, but I think I have it programmed correctly. My ID's are showing up as 204-1, 114-1 and so on. Why won't they show up as listed on the RR Page? I'm using Uniden preset map 8 for my programming.

I heard the Robert units last night along with the K-9's, I do not recognize any dispatchers or others as being with TPD. Sounds more like some security outfit. I don't know of any in Tulsa that have K-9's though.

If there is a dispatcher, I would say that it is 99% NOT TPD. It is most likely a security service as suggested. Is the activity of a professional nature? Private security can be anything from professional dispatch & response to talkaround. If they are mentioning K9 units, it shouldn't be too hard to identify the security company. Not many use K9 units. Maybe Total Protection Services (TPS).

Larry Ferguson's Company (spi??) has the contract for Tulsa Housing Authourity. They along with Tulsa Housing Authority are on a 800 mhz system. Tha has two uniforms left and several Investigators (investigators are certified police officers). I use THA peeps all the time
doing warrants and use Fregusons guards too. I am not sure but do to the
THA connection TPD K9 might have one of their radios, much like they have a Tulsa Public School radio. I will try to find out what their call signs are .....when I get back off vacation :D

So far what I have heard is not that professional, that is what has led me to believe that it isn't TPD related. Even the conversations with the K-9 units don't strike me as TPD or really any Law Enforcement entity.

Sometimes the background noise sounds like a scanner being used.
Kinda what I thought, TPD doesn't use A late at night except on weekends. I have heard A,B and C channels used by the mystery users. Also the transmissions I hear from the mobiles have a lot of alternator noise in the background.

I worked last night and tried to listen to these channels to see if I could figure out who it is. It is definitely not TPD, and I don’t think that it is any reserve deputies working a security job. It sounds like some security guards who are using call signs like K9-1, and K9-2, probably because they heard TPD using them.

All I heard last night was one security guard trying to get a hold of another security guard named "Don," who would never answer his radio.
