Last night around midnight, there was some exciting activity in Linden, NJ just off the Turnpike in the marshland area near Tremley Point. The State PD were on a foot and chopper persuit of individuals who bailed out of their vehicle. It was very exciting monitoring the chase. The frequencies being used were the NJSP NORTH Troop on 857.4625, 858.4625, 859.4625, and 860.4625. I noted that further into the chase, 860.4625 became the data channel and 856.4625 wasn't being used at all (just open keyed). These are the ONLY strong frequencies heard used by the State Police in the eastern Union County area. Also, their helicopter was using SPEN 1 on 154.680. I scanned the 120 - 134 MHz area, and did no hear any additional activity over there. Linden PD joined the chase on the ground using their primary frequency, 453.275.

The frequencies you listed are the control channels for the NJSP trunked motorola system. Did you try setting the unit to trunk Motorola? Individual talk groups would have appeared.

No, I have a PRO 2022 base scanner. It's an older scanner that doesn't have TRUNKED or any of these new accessories. However, I can still hear almost everything with it with the exception of P25, so no complaints. As long as I program the TRUNKED frequencies in order, I follow everything on those frequencies.
