helicopter off coast of Monmouth County

I live on the coast in monmouth county and I saw this milatary helo pass up and down the coast line at least 3 times. I am pretty sure it was the same one too. I didnt here any activity on my milair frequencies though. Did anyone here anything? I often see helicopters like this but I never here any activity.

Quite likely a post 911 patrol on routine surveylance of the coast. They could be out of almost any airport, Allair, Newark, Linden, Lakehurst NAS, Glouster or any one of several used to base cooperative government and emergency services.
