Hi, I tried searching all over the site to find the frequencies I need from my area to listen to the police. I am in the contra costa county area in Danville and I found a user that streams what I need live on this site but he didn't post the frequencies. His name is macdaddy1199 and I wonder if anyone can help me find what I am looking for or tell me where to look. Thank you.

Thanks for the good links. I clicked on the EBRCS trunked system link and that looks like it should have what I need but It has a bunch of different frequencies listed under each thing so not sure which to use. I'm really new to scanning and am probably trying to do more than I know how to at the moment. But for now, I'm just trying to listen to the local police frequencies. Just having trouble finding which ones to put in

You can't just plug in frequencies - you have to program a scanner/pager to monitor the trunked system and play activity on any of tha talkgroups that you're interested in. I'm sure there are some tutorials on scanning P25 trunked systems out there, if you "Google" around a bit....

Not yet, but I think they're heading in that direction. Right now I believe it's only Antioch.

Antioch PD was the first, and they used to dispatch for Brentwood PD. When Brentwood built their own dispatch center and got their own channels, they went encrypted too. I think everything else in Contra Costa is still unencrypted (for now?)

This is definitely not true. There are only two agencies on EBRCS that are encrypted so far...

Well that's not exactly true either - there are several Alameda County agencies on EBRCS that are encrypted.
