Try Universal Radio

Scott-

I see that Universal has something similar with different nomenclature:

RF Systems SP-3 Splitter and Combiner

To be honest, I've always wondered how well they work. For $130+, I've never had the stones to try it out. If you buy one would you mind letting us know how they work?

Best regards,

So I wonder how this is any different than a normal splitter?
They claim no loss. I'm skeptical.

I've never seen a splitter with no loss! If they have made one it will be a first. Even amplified splitters and those used in co-phase arrays have attenuation. The lower cost amplified splitters replace signal loss with boosted noise for the most part...

I don't see any claim about no loss.

I see a spec of "insertion loss above 3dB splitting: <0.5dB DC-400MHz, <1dB up to 950MHz, <3dB up to 1800MHz".

So doing the complicated math of adding 3 + xx, below 400MHz the loss is only 3.5dB. 4dB loss max up to 950MHz.

Sounds like a pretty typical splitter to me.

SP-1300 Combiner/Splitter

Okay, I am looking for this "SP-1300 Combiner/Splitter" to run 2 scanners with one antenna..... It is out of stock at ScannerMaster. So does anyone else know where it can be had. I have done a search but can't seem to come up with it anywhere.

I know I'm almost 2 years late, but they are in stock. I ordered one with a 3 ft coax cable and tested it out with my Pro-197 and Pro-106 with the stock antenna from the Pro-197, and the signal strength on the TRS was the same as if I was using the stock antenna one both receivers.
