So i just purchased a BCD536HP for $112 bucks i know a crazy deal i can't believe it either. but it has one small problem the squelch knob has a crack in it other than that it works perfect. i have googled around and tried to find a replacement but i can't seem to find any. i emailed Uniden but still have not heard back.

Does anyone know where i can buy replacement knobs for the BCD536HP, i'd like to also get a new volume knob just in case. Thanks

They look to be the same as BCT15 and probably all those mobile scanners with similar front panels. Uniden got those on sale for $1.79
Maybe you can verify by its picture if it will fit.

Yes that is the same know, i can verify as I have pretty much all of the recent Uniden radios and they are the same knob.

Take the knob off of the shaft and apply a tiny drop of super glue. Pinch it tight until it cures. Make sure you don’t use too much but if you do, remove as much as possible and before it cures push it back onto the shaft while still pinching, then pull it off quickly and wipe the shaft clean. This should clear anway any excess glue. Make sure none of the glue touches the outer case of the scanner. It’s worked for me in the past on amateur radios.

Those are most likely just the knob. You also need the metal insert. Might be able to use the one from the broken knob.

From Ebay sellers description...

" The generic knobs are designed to push onto the volume or squelch stems without the metal piece found inside the original part."

Those knobs look like they are done on a 3D printer...

Yea i'm gonna buy some and try it.

On another note i have ran into something that has me scratching my head, Today while listening to the scanner and just scanning my favorite lists a frequency popped up and had really clear traffic on it and it was about buses and it showed DMR the frequency is 464.6125 and i have this freqs in my scanner as a analog freqs with the tone set to search, Anyway's i have searched all 4 counties VA, KY, WV, and TN.

the only hit i get as a DMR is This but that can't be it when i heard it on my sds100 i hit the record button and captured some of it, Here is what Universalscanneraudioplayer shows. and this is what i imported into my pro 652 which is where the freqs came from i put those freqs on my sds100 and all those came from the RRDB i even tried searching the name i have RgvilleCS B which is on my pro 652 that came from the RRDB. And here is a Audio Clip and he mentions Bear Ridge in it, i searched and bear ridge is in Clinchco, VA.

Can someone help me maybe find it. maybe some of you all are more seasoned professionals than me. and is DMR Tier 1/2 trunked or not?

Thanks

Edit.. Here it is showing normal like it's programmed into the scanner

Probably Dickenson County Schools:
(Found with FCC Frequency Search) RRDB | FCC Data | Query

BTW: What does this have to do with knobs for your bcd536hp?

the link u sent doesn't say if it's DMR or not. i looked at the FCC one to and i didn't see anything about dmr. how do you know it could be that ?
You can start by looking at the emission designators shown on the license. This is licensed as DMR.
7464.612500007K60FXDFB21100.00037.12494-82.54058ClintwoodDICKENSONVA

From: Emission Designator - The RadioReference Wiki

7K60FXE: 2-slot DMR (Motorola MOTOTRBO) TDMA voice.

The location shown on the license for 464.6125 is outside of Clintwood in Dickenson County. The tower location is less than 19mile from Clinchco.

You can also listen to other frequencies shown on the license to see if you get similar traffic. (461.9625, 464.0750, and 462.5125 look to be closer to your location)
3461.962500007K60FXEFB21100.00037.28742-82.29164BreaksDICKENSONVA

I believe everything I have outlined matches the description in your post of what you are receiving. You can keep listening to more transmissions to better confirm whether you are hearing school buses from DIckenson County Schools.

Universal scanner player displays it as DMR Tier 1/2 does that mean anything such as could it mean it's both tiers 1 and 2
That is simply indicating it is either DMR Tier1 or Tier2 (conventional). (Not Tier3, trunked)
