WS1065: Help not picking nothing up

Will scan threw all channels but will only pick up the analog. I had someone that programs all of our county’s radios program it. It also picks up weather just fine but none of the digital.

What is your city, county, and state and which agencies do you want to monitor? Do you have programming software and the programming cable?

Montpelier Williams County Ohio. I don’t have the software or cable. I am new to all this. When the scanner scans it scanning the channel but will not pick anything up. Its programmed for all police and medic for the county and surrounding county’s. Was told that the 1065 will not pickup Williams County fire dept.

Looking at your county in the database, the ws1065 should be able to pick up most of the agencies as long as it is programmed correctly. Some of the agencies in your county have talkgroups on the statewide system, MARCS-IP. But there are also a number of conventional channels listed.

The channel listed for countywide fire dispatch should be receivable, unless there has been a change not reflected in the database. However, the countywide Fire/EMS Response channel is DMR, which your scanner cannot handle.

Ok I think I might have it figured out, I lowered the antenna all the way down and getting some stuff loud and clear and other with a lot of static.
