Anyone successfully program the Campbell County VA Sheriff, Fire, and Rescue into a Uniden SDS200?

My county sheriff, fire, and rescue went to a trunked system. I live in Campbell Co. Virginia.

Put them in my favorites and that's all I have in there is the trunked systems in my county (I think). I uploaded into my scanner but still can't pick them up. Don't know what I'm doing. Need help if you can explain in beginner terms.

Are you getting any bars of signal at all? First thing's first: ensure all service types are turned on for the talkgroups you want to hear. Reference "tag" column per talkgroup table in the RRDB for applicable service types.

Thanks for the reply. I do have Law Tac, Law Dispatch, Fire Disp & Tac turned on. I even tried turning all of them on with no luck.

I do notice I am getting no BARS of signal while scanning except once in a while one or two bars will flash. Scanning does not stop and I hear no transmitting.

This has me stumped because I can pick up state police (trunked) and all other regular frequencies.

How close are you to the nearest tower site? Perhaps try an external antenna if you can. Try setting your squelch to 2

Squelch set to 2. I am in between all 4 of their towers - 10-15 miles. Using desktop WMM-860 discone from Whistler. I pick up the other trunked systems no problem with full bars. But the Central Virginia Radio Communications System, while scanning, shows no BARS and DATA shows up when scanning Campbell Co. I figured that I had a setting wrong since they are the only one I can't pick up.

Thanks for the continued help.

You say you have other Campbell county stuff scanning, is that stuff and the trunked system in the same favorites list?

I have everything in my "Gladys" favorites folder list. That includes other trunking systems and non trunking frequencies. Do they need to be separated?

This time I put every trunked system in the fav folder. And don't hear anything from Central VA Radio Com System. State Police on the Stars system works fine. Has me puzzled.

I'd suggest attaching your Sentinel export so someone can take a look at your programming:

In Sentinel. click on the drop-down File menu & select "Export to hpe file (Favorites list).

Select any and all Favorites lists then proceed with the export.
Save the file created to a location on your PC that you can get to.
Open Windows Explorer (called File Explorer on Windows 10/11)
Find your exported file, then right-click on it.
Choose Compress to ZIP file. (On earlier versions, you may see, instead, an option for "Send To". When you select that, you'll see an option to send the file to a compressed (zipped) folder.)
Once you have exported & zipped the file, then you can attached the zipped file to a post.

You have several sites programmed in. Are they all within range to you? Only scan the site closest to you (site hold) otherwise you'll miss traffic if the scanner has to waste time scanning sites out of range

Most of the sites are. I am still weeding out the ones that aren't. Was just trying to get anything in the CVRCS to come up.
