Help Please With Antenna

Hi I have a bct8 and my antenna recently broke. I have a set VHF/FM nexxtech antenna and was wondering if this would still give me good signal where it's made for a tv. Also if not what type of antenna should I get and where could I get one thanks.

TV antennas - even set top versions like Nexxtech - usually work quite well with scanners. Put the antenna in a window and rotate it so the two telescoping elements are vertical. I know... It looks weird. Extend one element to 48 inches and the other to 18 inches and you'll have created an off-center fed dipole, a popular scanning antenna.
