Help Please?

I just purchased a Radio Shack pro-2052 dual trunking scanner...

I am new to the trunking thing. I Do not know what I am supposed to put the frequencies under like ED, E2-800, E2-900 E2-HI E2-UHF ED E1.....I am in Orange county NY.. I am trying to add frequencies such as 04-127 .. I tried for a few hours to get it right tonight, and i am pulling my hair out.. My Other half is too in-patient to even bother helping me. If someone could explain this to me EASY i would appreciate it so MUCH!!! thanks!!

Set up your Pro-2052 radio up for EDACS trunking for your county.

To do this hold down the TRUNK button until it beeps twice.
Next, push BANK, TRUNK and the bank #'s will flash.

Press a # to select which bank you want.
Use your up or down arrows to find Ed , press E

The 04- # you quoted is actually a talk group and not a frequency.

Enter the trunk freq's but be sure to start at the first ch. in the bank.

Press E

To check if it is operating properly, hit SEARCH and your ID's
should start appearing.

If this example is used, you will need to enter the freqs in channel 1 through 4 then skip 5 through 7 then continue entering 8 through 10. This sequence is known as Logical Channel Number (LCN).

Whichever site you use, set it up as listed in the data on his link. You can only program one site per bank and use only sites which you can hear the noise of the control channel.
