Help programming trunked talkgroups ws1065

I am having a problem listing to state police(CONNECTICUT). I know they are trunked but i dont know how to program talkgroups... I have a whistler1065. Thanks for any help. I have the cord to plug it into the computer and download code via radio reference and I’ve done all that but still I’m not seeing too much action on the police and fire departments and everything work but not the police

I don't have that model and I'm sure that other members will help, but the big question is
have you downloaded EZ Scan to program your scanner?

EZ Scan is not used wjth this scanner. You need Win500 or another program.

I wish there was Win software for the TRX1. EZ Scan is the worst I've ever used.

Which software are you using? Make sure you have the Control (red) and Alt (Blue) frequencies programmed for a tower near your location. Also I see many of the State police Talkgroups are Encrypted. You can not listen to them. If you provide more information we can provide you with more specifics on programming, i.e. County you are in, software you are using.

I use Butel ARC500 for my programming. I also have WIN500. You can try both for a free trial period to see which one you like before purchasing. If you already have either one, I would be happy to do a file for you.
