BCD396XT/BCD996XT: Help Programming

I'm pretty familiar with programming my 996xt. What is going on is when I only programmed 9 or 10 TGIDs for 1 site, it scans everything on that site (150+ TGIDs) and doesn't even give the alpha tag... just the DEC. I tried to just put in the control and alternate trunk frequencies (4 or 5 total) instead of all 9 frequencies listed. Can anyone help me here?

ID search. But i changed it to scan. Ive never had that problem before. Thanks

If you had hit the Function key (by bumping the scroll knob without realizing it), that turns on the 'Function" setting for a few seconds even if you don't hold it down. So, with Function 'activated' possibly unintentionally, if you then hit "Scan" to resume scanning, you would inadvertently toggle the scanner into ID Search mode within that system, instead of your desired ID Scan.

settings

there is a setting to change it to either hex or dec.
but that only fixes the one issue.
