Can you please tell me why when I try to up-load my Pro96 - my scanner reads Incorrect Model?
Thank you,

Pro 96, "Incorrect Model"

Using Win96 for a couple of months and no problems until cat ate the Radio Shack cable (serial). Purchased the exact same model cable and now when I try and upload I get the message on the scanner. Could it be a pin-out issue or something in the software. I did read an old message were there was a licensing issue.

Have tried the on/off several times. Rebooted the computer, checked all settings, tried to reloading the win96 software. Should I uninstall and reinstall Win96? Would this remove the old relationship with to the old cable?

Win96 knows nothing about your cable. If one 20-289 worked but a new one doesn't, it looks to me like you've run into the design problem with the 20-289 cable (see here for more info).
