Welcome to RR. This is one the the easier scanners to program, so I suspect you don't have the manual. Here's a link:

I have the manual. Whats so confusing is programming the frequencies into the trunks. I thnk I am to old to be trying to do things like this. But I will figure it out. Thanks for your reply. Look forward to hearing from you again.

Thanks for responding. I have the manual. It all seems so confrusing. I have gone step by step but I can't get any action on the scanner. Maybe you can advise me on what I am doing wrong.

Lynn the 95xlt is not a trunktracker. Precisely what is it you are trying to hear? Go up to the Database link in the blue toolbar under the site title, then use the pulldowns to select what you want to hear.

Please also be more specific about where you are in Maryland. Many of the systems here in Central Maryland are digital trunked (not all of them), so it's important to get the right scanner for the right application

Lynn, I happen to live in AA county - our county uses a trunked system that uses a mix of analog and digital talkgroups, so you will need a digital trunktracker to hear the police; fire is still on analog.

If that seems a little much to swallow, it's time to take a step back. First, keep this link handy (anything in blue is a link) - it's the database entry for Anne Arundel county..I'd bookmark it for future reference...

Anne Arundel County, Maryland (MD) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Next, I'd suggest reading this article from our wiki...

Scanning 101 - The RadioReference Wiki

We have a very active Maryland forum here, so when you're ready, jump on down there...73 Mike
