I am trying to program Bayonne trunk system in a BCD996T. I can't get it to work. I am using Scancontrol full edition 6.2.1. The newest one they have out. I used the data graber for the frequency and talk group info. But I don't think I have all the other settings corect. This what the settings are at. I realy don't know much about this, I read the sites but just don't get it.

Sys Typ: MOT 2 is what I have it on. The others it offers are MOT 1, EDC, EDS,LTR

Alt lvl: Auto

Sit Typ: T-2 UHF is what I have it on. The others offered are T-2 800, T-2 800P, T-2 900, T-2VHF, M-P25

MOD AUTO: others are FM, NFM

P-25 Thold: 11, it goes from 0 to 63

I-call: off, it has on & only

I knpw something is wrong. I tried deferant settings but still nothing. I am in JC so I am close enough.

The system should be set up as P25, not as Moto Type-II. The 996 does not need the base & offset data, as it is transmitted by the CC.

Try setting the system up as CC-only, and just use the frequencies in the database that are blue & red...

Thanks Scott, I don't know to much about the 996. :)

Still nothing

It still won’t work. I know it has to be something simple. Any one in the south Bergen area that knows how to program a 996T with a digital trunked UHF system? I'll pay you.

Thanks
John

Scanning for dummies, that's what I need.

Thanks, I will give this a try. You know, if you can’t get someone to understand you. You talk slower and louder. That's what I need. LOL Thanks.

If you were using one of the other software packages like Arc996, Freescan, or Bctool someone could look at your file for you, and give advice, not to many people use the one your using. Someone might even have a file setup for Bergen County, Hudson, etc. and attach it to a message for you to use or check out. Good Luck, I hope you figure this out soon, it no fun having a scanner that doesn't operate the way you want.

What is the easiest software to use to program this scanner? I guess Scancontrole isn't.
