Is anyone familiar with the Radio CTL software for this scanner? Also, the program will connect to my scanner, but will not let me load freqs. to or from the scanner. Is the PC cable that came with the scanner the correct one. New to the software deal, any help would be very helpful. Thanks!!

I used RadioCtl quite a while back - I'd have to go and check my notes. Yes, the PC cable that comes with the scanner is correct.

I think my review is linked on the 245 wiki page, come to think of it. Here is the URL for the wiki page...

It's not the best freeware choice, however. BC245Int/Senss is - however, it's not been developed for some time, and it is a bit flaky in how it implements most of the functions.
Scan Control, which is commercial, is the best for the 245 - it recently added a copy/paste function for copying data from the RRDB.
