Help with Pro-164

Ok, now we know the system. Did you apply the rebanding tables?

Unfortunately there is no way to do this in the scanner, it must be done with software (a pet peeve of mine). I use WIN97 to program mine. Within WIN97 there is a pulldown option and I select "rebanded MOT 800".

I looked at the system you provided the link for. It indeed is a rebanded MOT 800 system. If you haven't used software to program your '164, this is clearly the problem.

Ok then thank you! I'm old fashion and do it by hand. I guess i'll have to get the software. Is win97 usable on other scanners?

Win97 works with the Pro-97, 164, 163, 2055 and will work on GRE PSR-300 and 400. Get the programming cable and the software, it only makes sense because it is an investment. It is good to know when you want to change something you can do it, but the software puts it all in front of you to understand it better. And it's well worth the expense.
