Hey all, currently monitoring the Ramapo Site in ID SEARCH.

Saw the TG 2599. Confirmed for sure it was that. Couldn't find it in the DB, for known/unknown.

The closest one to it, is 2597, F&W SW Ch12. I couldn't catch the radio ID, I will try to next time.

Any ideas on what this TG could be?

EDIT: Got the ID, 707079

and it sounded like Dispatch, possibly.

That’s Fairfield. 707079 is their headquarters id.

Hey guys, what site does Fairfield usually affiliate to? I’d like to start monitoring them regularly.

I'm not completely sure, but I believe West Orange.

It was mentioned in the NJICS Northern New Jersey thread that they are expected to upgrade radios soon, so in the near future they're expected to begin using P25 Phase II.

Link to that thread please! Would be beneficial for me.

And good to know! I’m working on a Phase 2 scanner.

Here is the North Jersey thread for NJICS.

https://forums.radioreference.com/n...icipal-migration-discussion-statewide-24.html

Here's the Statewide Discussion.

Just an FYI, normally we post possible discovered TG's for NJICS in the Northern New Jersey thread (unless of course it has a statewide or southern/central Jersey use) along with other general NJICS discussion. Fellow hobbyists who have an interest in NJICS will monitor that thread more often than the New Jersey forums.

Ok sounds good. Thanks.

Once I get a Phase 2 Scanner, I plan to monitor the NNJ Sites full-time.

As of now, I’m on and off, and only hearing Phase 1(396xt).

Oops, upon further inspection it appears that the thread titles have changed.

The first is for NJICS discussion in general, and the second appears to be for NJICS municipal migration discussion.

Oh. Ok, I follow both of those threads then. Was kind of wondering what you meant by NNJ.

Either way 10-4. Thanks

If you're going to monitor the West Orange site or another similar simulcast site in a mobile environment, I'd highly recommend waiting to see if the Uniden SDS100 turns out to be what its rumored to be.

I have an Whistler WS1088, and although I don't monitor NJICS that frequently, I've found that decoding Phase II while mobile on the West Orange site is usually hit or miss. That's one of the reasons I normally monitor off of the Ramapo site since I can hear most of the activity I'm interested in off of that site, anyway.

And I'm sorry about the mix up that occurred. I should have spent more time in checking the thread titles.

Ok. Sounds good.

I’m hoping to get my hands on one before I buy it. Especially with ICS and Wayne Phase 1 decoding hopefully improved.
