I have several systems programmed into my Pro 97 for the Regina Sk, Canada area. For example City of Regina, Fleetnet, Casino. UofR, Clearnet. The only freqs/talk ID codes etc even on this site are not up to date and are missing a lot of ID's. Does anyone know how I could find them?

Thanks

Run it in OPEN mode and listen. Eventually you will figure out who is talking by what they say. If you don't have a list, that's about the only way.

And, when you do find out who they are, please submit them so we can add them to the database to help out others.

He's talking about the Western Canadian forum, which is on the main list in the Area Specific section.

Thats what I dont understand, Loumagg said in 2 messages above that it was moved to Regional forum but thats where we are. In any case I have logged a couple of new ID'S in Sasktel Fleetnet 1 and will upload when I get some time. What is the best way to update these. I will look over in the database area and try to figure out myself though.

That's because he moved it - don't sweat it, it's water under the bridge. In the future, though, use the Western Can forum to post topics like this. :)

If you go to the Saskatchewan portion of the database (here), there is a blue button marked "Submit" near the upper left corner, which will take you through the process of sending in the data so a database admin can work on it. I don't know who handles Saskatchewan specifically - I'm only an Alberta admin - but someone will get to it and put it in the DB after reviewing it.

Hi gs_new, welcome to the forum. :)

All frequencies for all systems, and LCN numbers for the EDACS and LTR systems are 100% correct. There are no missing frequencies for any of the systems listed.

The TG's for the City of Regina system are 100% accurate. If that system so much as burps the wrong way, we know about it.

Pretty well only Gov't, RCMP, and EMS agencies are listed in Sasktel Fleetnet. They are all accurate. The reason only these TG's are listed is because so many fly-by-night companies come and go so often on that system. For example on TG 112 there was a courier company for a number of weeks, now they are gone. They must have gone to the new 10-4 service. Dozens of TG's have popped up then disappeared on Fleetnet in the last couple of years. I will only post new TG's for Fleetnet if they have stuck around for at least a year.

RCMP on Sasktel Fleetnet (system 1) is basically non existent now. The only active RCMP TG that remains is Yorkton City on TG 1491. The rest have been silent. The big reason for this is because the RCMP are building there own P25 systems throughout the Province. The other is because Sasktel has given notice that it will be shutdown sometime in the future, so agencies are scrambling to find alternatives.

Clearnet and the other LTR systems may have TG's on them that are not listed. This is because I do not listen to these systems very often. If you positively indentify any new TG's on these systems, please feel free to submit them.

I noticed on a previous post in the Radio Shack forum you were asking about the fleetmap information on Clearnet. The block sizes are listed as letters. A=1, B=2, C=3......and so on. If it says B for a block-code size it means 2. Program the sizes listed accordingly in the DB, and listening to the Clearnet system will be flawless.

Regards,
Richster.

Thanks Richster. I have noticed that on Fleetnet there are tons of Sask Highway Agency codes that are very busy. Not sure how much interest people would have in these, however it is tough to determine what exact areas all the different id's I have cover. I also have found the Saskatoon Sk. EMS extensively broadcasting which is pretty cool.

There is a courier (Corporate Express)in Regina that is on the old Clearnet among a few others (Nimbus Water) that I recognize that I have found and will have or already figured out who they are. Also Rush Courier is on the 596266 Sask Systems LTR type(whom I think is Telus) and a few others that I should be able to figure out.

I am very new to scanning, only been listening for like 3 months, and in the last couple weeks since I upgraded to my Pro 97 from old Uniden Sportcat I have saved probably 20 ID codes that I am or in the process of figuring out who they are.

When I do submit freqs I will be careful to only submit companies I think will be around for a while. I know a LOT of people and businesses and am looking forward to helping out.

Take Care,

GS

That's excellent! For a person who has only been scanning for 3 months, you seem to pick things up very fast, especially on the different types of trunking systems aspect and how to program them. Looking forward to hearing from you in the future.

Richster.
