is there a setting to leave a trunk tracker 5 bcd996p2 radio in close call mode all the time???????

Yes, press"Menu" scroll down 5 to "Close Call only" , press Function knob and pick your choice ,....

and then, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING !
and remember that the transmitter has to be very close .
and then just turn it off and on and it will sta there.
