"A Hendricks County sheriff’s deputy died overnight after being electrocuted while investigating a crash.

According to Hendricks County Sheriff Jack Sadler, Deputy Fred Fislar was responding to a single-vehicle accident around 11:50 p.m. north of County Road 300 S and State Road 267 just north of Plainfield.

A passing driver, who was also a witness, saw Deputy Fislar was down and used his radio to notify dispatchers just a few minutes later. Sadler said Fislar came into contact with power lines after arriving at the scene."
