Don't be surprised to see an A-10, an F-15, an F-16, formation flying with a
P-51 over Tucson in the near future. Per the Desert Airman newspaper, 18
Feb 2005, the Air Combat Command's six single-ship demonstrations teams will be training at Davis-Monthan AFB between 4 and 6 March. The training will be for ACC A-10 Thunderbolt, F-15 Eagle, and F-16 Fighting Falcon Demonstration Teams. This yearly training is used to certify the warplanes to fly with vintage war planes for upcoming airshows throughout the USA. Two active duty F-4 pilots will also participate in the training and an F-22 pilot will be observing the training. Twelve civilian Heritage Flight
Conference pilots and their vintage war fighters will also participate.
Last year they used the following freqs:
127.15 - Discrete for A2A chatter
121.8/275.8 - DMAFB Clearance
118.85/253.5 - DMAFB Tower
327.7 - DMAFB SOF
