Agreed with the BOG. I have no idea where on this planet you live, but this is one way I would run wires. I'm guessing these wires would be 200 +/- feet long so for most of shortwave, they will be directional basically off the both ends. NE/SW would cover Europe/Pacific, E/W would cover Africa/Pacific, SE/NW would cover South America/Japan-Asia. Put up 20 feet of 2x4 behind the house, with a relay up there so you can switch between the antennas which would be fed with 'window line'. A small antenna tuner in the house can be used to maximize signals on each band. Start with one wire and add as able. They really don't need to be much higher than 15 to 20 feet (higher would be better of course). IMO, this will kick your indoor loop to the curb!
